One of the best things you could do for yourself as an individual is understanding your purpose in life, and the best ways to achieve it.
Or if I have to state it differently, it means understanding where you are at on the ladder to success, and figuring out the best (and of course most productive) means to get to the top.
Many people lack a unique sense of purpose in life. So many others do not even know what they are meant to achieve while still here, and so tend to live their lives haphazardly, going with whatever life throws at them.
If you truly want to become successful, then you must adopt the best strategy that should enhance your chances at actually achieving your dreams. And that is what I would be sharing in this piece.
I am the kind of person that thinks strategically, meaning I do not just do things for the fun of doing them. I am the one that plans out everything, and maybe over-plan them sometimes.
However, in spite of my great strategic planning skills, I sometimes make mistakes. I sometimes take things for granted, which turn around to bite me. I also sometimes over-assume things, and then have to swallow the bitter pills of those decisions.
I am very passionate about people living to their full potentials, and that includes them becoming very successful in life. And as much as I want all these great things for you, I also want them for myself.
Therefore, in my bid to achieving my life’s purpose, I was part of a group I assumed were very much vested in my success, as much as I was. But, I was wrong.
I was totally committed to this group, and put in my time and resources into it, assuming that we were all on the same page. But, I never realized until quite recently, that I had been wrong all the while.
I had been wrong in my assumptions. I had also been wrong in my strategy in dealing with this group. I had been wrong in investing more than was actually necessary into this group and spent the time and resources I should have committed elsewhere into it.
However, once I realized my error, I did the needful. I turned my back on the group and walked away to go begin life afresh. No drama. No chaos. I just quietly walked away.
This is life, and the truth is that no matter the level of your education, experience or expertise, we are bound to make mistakes in some of our decisions.
But the vital question which is the center point of this post is, “what should you do once you discover that you have all along been on the wrong road to success?” What is actually the best strategy for becoming successful?
The Simple Strategy for Becoming Successful is:
“Being Deliberate with your Actions.”
If you truly want to become successful at your goals or in your life, then you must learn to be deliberate about the actions you take.
You cannot achieve success by doing things anyhow with no defined plans or patterns. Your journey to success should have a framework or structure, upon which your actions are predicated.
And that includes writing down and becoming familiar with exactly where you are going, and where you need to be. So that when something outside that fabric or plan shows up, you can make the best decisions for yourself.
For me, I knew where I was headed and once I knew that group’s plans weren’t aligned with my journey towards becoming successful, I immediately called it quits with them.
This is what you need to do for yourself if you must fulfill your purpose in this life.
Some of us are stuck in/with jobs, relationships, associations or habits that have no bearing on where we are headed in life.
It is time to take proper stock of your life and evaluate those things you are intrinsically connected with. Once you discover they do not enhance your walk towards becoming successful, it’s time to let them go.
You need to do what is right for your life now. You need to adopt the best strategy to become successful. It is time to take deliberate actions towards achieving your dreams.
Enough with going with the flow, and just do what you need to do now that will get you to where you truly ought to be!
To your continued success. Cheers!!!
